Wild Focus is committed to environmental conservation and wildlife protection. In addition to supporting conservation organizations in our tour locations, we also sponsor animals through the World Wildlife Fund. Thanks to the environmentally focused team over at Green Geeks hosting and the CO2 Neutral project, the Wild Focus website is carbon neutral and powered by wind energy. Wild Focus team members also volunteer with local environmental non-profit organizations, and we are committed recycling and minimizing paper use. We support the World Wildlife Fund, the Pacific Wild Foundation, the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, and the Raincoast Conservation Foundation. We are passionately committed to minimizing the environmental impact of each and every Wild Focus photography tour.


A little about the various organizations Wild Focus supports….

PACIFIC WILD FOUNDATION

Pacific Wild is a non-profit conservation organization that is committed to:

  • Defending wildlife and their habitat on Canada’s Pacific coast by developing and implementing solution-based conservation strategies. Pacific Wild supports innovative research, public education, community outreach and awareness to achieve the
  • The goal of lasting environmental protection in the lands and waters of the Great Bear Rainforest.
  • Working with a diverse array of communities, First Nations, groups and individuals to ensure that biodiversity protection is at the forefront of land and marine use decisions.
  • Mobilizing a concerned global citizenry to achieve large-scale wildlife protection.


WORLD WILDLIFE FUND

From the Amazon to the Arctic, WWF is building a future where human needs are met in harmony with nature. By 2020 they aim to conserve 19 of the world’s most important natural places and significantly change global forces to protect the future of nature. Their experts are active at every level – from field work to government – conserving the largest tropical rain forests, the most diverse coral reefs, and the world’s most endangered species.

WWF’s way of conserving the planet’s natural resources combines unmatched global reach with a foundation in science, it involves action at every level – from local to global – and it ensures the delivery of innovative solutions that meet the needs of both people and nature.


SEA SHEPHERD CONSERVATION SOCIETY

Sea Shepherd’s Mission Statement

Established in 1977, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Our mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.

Sea Shepherd uses innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately-balanced ocean ecosystems, Sea Shepherd works to ensure their survival for future generations.
