About Wild Focus Tours

The Wild Mission

At Wild Focus our mission is to create extraordinary travel moments that inspire the capturing of memories.  Our tours are designed to provide an exciting, enriching, and eco-friendly travel experience for amateur to semi-professional photographers.  Offering both group workshops and individual photography instruction; Wild Focus tours are highly rewarding as we take the time to ensure every guest returns home with wonderful photographs.  We pride ourselves on being able to offer high-end photography tours in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.  We look forward to helping you discover a deeper understanding of photography, and a greater appreciation of the natural world.  At Wild Focus, we encourage you to take a moment.  Look up in awe at an Antarctic iceberg, listen to your heart race in the presence of a Grizzly, and let yourself sigh over an African sunset.  We strive to show you amazing wildlife and stunning landscapes, we aim to open your mind, and we hope to make you smile.

The Wild Advantage

Our tour groups are small, our accommodations range from luxurious to adventurous, our packages are all-inclusive, and our guests learn about nature, culture and photography in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.  Wild Focus photography is all about appreciating nature, embracing the spirit of the wild, and looking through the lens with fresh eyes.  Wild Focus is passionate about enhancing the travel experience.  We know vacation time is precious, so we are dedicated to exploring the finest locations, discovering exotic cultures, and capturing engaging natural images.  Unlike many other high-end photography tour companies, Wild Focus does not specialize in catering to highly competitive professional photographers seeking images for commercial sale.  Our tours are designed for amateur to semi-professional photographers that are looking for an enjoyable and enriching travel experience.  We encourage guests to really absorb every delicious moment of their adventure - delighting in the natural world, appreciating local cultures, learning new photography skills, and making the most of every unfortgettable photo opportunity.

The Wild Focus team would be thrilled take you on an amazing photography adventure.

So what are you waiting for? There is a big beautiful world out there to explore, discover and capture.

We’re out there exploring the Wild right now. Why aren’t you?

The Wild Team

Jamie Scarrow

With over a decade working in the field as an adventure tourism guide and naturalist, Jamie Scarrow has gained an amazing understanding of the natural world.  He began his career as a naturalist guide in Knight Inlet, a coastal fiord in British Columbia, which is home to a healthy population of Grizzly bears, Bald eagles and Orca (Killer Whales).  Over twelve years at Knight Inlet Jamie developed a deep understanding of the natural instincts of wild animals and this has allowed him to capture truly unique and intimate wildlife images.  For five years, Jamie also worked in Churchill, Manitoba as a polar bear guide and naturalist; and in the past four years, his winters have been spent as guide, naturalist and zodiac driver in Antarctica.  Jamie is an ambassador for the conservation and protection of the natural world.  Through photography Jamie attempts to express the beauty and importance of some of the world’s most fragile ecosystems and most vulnerable animals.  His wildlife images have a unique feel to them, often showing the less understood side of his animal subjects. Robert Scriba

Robert (Bob) Scriba, originally from Alberta, moved out to beautiful British Columbia several years ago to follow his passion for wildlife, photography and adventure tourism.  For the past five years, he has enjoyed showing guests from around the world the fantastic wildlife of coastal BC.  Bears are just one of his specialties, both grizzly and black bears, but he has enjoyed leading several photography tours to the inner coastal islands of Vancouver Island to capture, digitally of course, the spectacular orca and humpback whales.  In the past, he has also lead private tours to places such as Yellowstone National Park to experience and photograph wolves, bison and elk in the exciting winter months.
